Bullying

No matter how strong you are, the ball WILL bully you if you’re not in a countering position.

First, let’s define “countering” again.

What countering is not: arbitrarily throwing your body in a specified direction in an effort to create what is thought to be tension by mimicking the *look* of another athlete.

In other words, countering is not doing something that *then* has an effect on the hammer.

Hammer is not a series of, “If-Then” statements.

What countering is: the conscious and persistent effort to maintain an equal, yet opposing connection between you and the hammer—tension.

Countering is constant and unceasing connection achieved through maximum tension—perfectly balanced. As all things should be.

When you are perfectly in constant opposition, you don’t give the hammer the opportunity to bully you. For there is no space for the hammer to overtake you. In this manner, there is no individual you OR individual hammer. You are one.
